The original source is indicated on the album detail pages, and is most commonly MiniDisc (highest quality, usually direct from a mixing board, but sometimes from a pair of small omnis), although some sources are direct from the program in which they were created.

The free samples of each track are encoded at 160kbps, to take up less server space.
