Back in 2004 I did a show of music for belly dance, and lately I've been pursuing that even more. Most recently I've been performing with a troupe of dancers, and this rehearsal from May 18 was quite special--I was in the right frame of mind, the stars lined up, and Music happened. There's a spacious "desert" quality to these tracks that I like quite a bit, and the dancers dug it, too.
I'm trying something different for this release: instead of having 30-second samples of each track, I'm releasing a full-length track for free. Download it, check it out, see if you like it, send copies to friends, trade it on file sharing networks, whatever--and if you like it, buy the rest of the album--or come back and buy the single, if you want to support this kind of music.
Instrumentation: electric guitar, ukulele, and samples of individual drum hits arranged in Ableton Live. Buy the full-length, and I'll throw in the "Scimitar Dance" from 2004, also.
